Exciting News & a Book Giveaway

It was just announced that Mostly Metals, my beginner jewelry-making book, is going into its second printing.

Yea! In honor of the occasion, I'll give away a copy of the book on November 1. Here's how you can win:

1. Leave a comment about your favorite jewelry "look."

2. Double your chances by becoming a follower.

3. Triple your chances by linking to this post on your blog.

4. Bonus: if I get more than 20 comments I'll do a second drawing for jewelry made from a project in the book.
Good luck, and don't forget to check back to see if you've won!

  1. Hi Karin,
I just became a follower yesterday...does that count?
I can't believe that this book isn't already in my library...I think I am nearing about 60 right now...can't get enough. I love mixing metals. I love taking old, vintage-y and found object sort of things and weaving them into a piece. I dearly love incorporating art beads. And I believe that each piece tells a story...whether of the wearer...or a completely different inspiration. I never know what style I will be on next! Thanks for sharing this great giveaway. I wish you luck with the new printing. Enjoy the day! Erin

  3. I'm trying this again ... somehow I posted with my boss' name??? I'm not sure how that happened but that's why the comment was deleted.

Anyhoo, congrats on the second printing! I like simple jewelry -- something funky hanging from a leather cord is about my speed. I just had a charm made from some gold jewelry that was my grandmother's. I'll have to send you a pic.

  4. Posting for Wendy, who likes "a mix...silver and beads, silver metal in cool/unusual shapes and wearable, yet tasteful art, like an old New York City subway token cleverly made into a necklace...or a piece from my mom/grandmother's jewelry box."

  5. I like artsy jewelry rather than simple, tasteful, expensive jewelry. Not to say that artsy jewelry is not sometimes expensive. But maybe you know what I mean. I like jewelry with unusual components.

  6. I'm partial to silver and pretty beads on wire necklaces... a little non-traditional.
